HI I’M MELISANDE ELLEFSEN, GREAT TO MEET YOU!

I’m a free lance fashion designer and entrepreneur based in Montreal with over 10 years of experience in retail, owning a brand and working for other compagnies.

I specialize in product and collection development, particularly in the women's ready-to-wear market accros various categories including womenswear, outerwear and activewear.

MY STORY

I’ve been obsess with fashion since as long I can remember and I’ve always known that I wanted to be a designer and creative. After graduating from Marie-Victorin in fashion design, I immediately started my journey in the industry as an assistant designer for a Montreal designer that made me learn greatly and inspired me to later on start my own brand.

Along the way I deepen my knowledge in other product categories like the activewear/outerwear, high end and womenswear, working with overseas factory and also locally.

I honed my craft when I launch my brand, Lovan M, in 2016 and worked on it passionately for 6 years. It made me develop and acquire new skills & knowledge broader than only the design but also as an entrepreneur and business owner.
